About Didot Font

Famous Didot typefaces were made between 1784 and 1818. The Didot family, which was famous in France for printing and making type, gave the typeface the name “Didot.” People in the Didot family were some of the first to set up a printing press in the country of Greece when it was free. Since then, the style of Didot typefaces has been well-known in Greek. It is a serif typeface and published through linotype. As a serif font, it is very much perfect for body text. The classification is written down as modern/didone in a file. Adrian Frutiger or Adrian Johann Frutiger (24 May 1928 – 10 September 2015) was a Swiss typeface designer. Didot is a good font with dramatic variations between thick and thin strokes. It is a well-balanced font with strong, solid vertical strokes and lighter arches and curves. Didot typeface is a great typeface that can be used for many purposes and is free for commercial and personal use, but there aren’t many fonts similar to the Didot typeface. However, there are two typefaces near or similar to the Didot font. Bodoni and Ambroise are two of the closest alternatives that come near to the Didot typeface.

• Bodoni typeface: During the late eighteenth century Giambattista Bodoni (1740–1813) first designed and named his typeface Bodoni typeface. Its typefaces are classified as Didon or Modern.
• Ambroise Typeface: Ambroise font was designed by Jean Francois Portage in Adobe Font.
